Within ten minutes of arriving at the sled dog ranch in far northern Norway, @carlostorresart and I were strapped to six Alaskan Huskies, a couple of whom are North Pole veterans, howling along with them in the darkness as snow pelted our faces, the ice cold air crystallized in our lungs as we took turns sprinting uphill through feet of fresh powder to help our pack, leaning into breakneck curves not knowing what lied ahead, laughing and yelling at each other like maniacs, hearts pumping adrenaline, smiles frozen in place, dreams fulfilled, souls on fire.

Spent the night in a Sami Lavvu on reindeer pelts, stoking the fire every couple hours and talking about how life brought us here together through very different journeys. Not that we would have slept much anyways, at dawn we were in showshoes climbing mountains of snow in search of moose before one last 10 mile run with dogs we loved up, cuddled with, fed, and strapped to the sled once again to allow them to live out their dreams. We were a pack together.

Damn this life is but a dream... thank you Hege! - 2/22/2017
